Chester and ORR faced off last night in the District Championship Game at the Swiftel Center in Brookings last night. We have lots of intense expressions in some of the images below. I was impressed that the Lady Flyers all stayed on the floor and clapped as the ORR girls received their District Championship medals and trophy. That was a great example of sportsmanship that is too often lost in the heat of competition.
The Lady Raiders are one game away from going to the State B Tournament in Huron. They play Estelline later this week for the Region title.

Rachel and her teammates went to Dell Rapids to play in the St Mary gym earlier this week. The ORR Lady Raiders jr high team was down to 6 players this week which made for an interesting game. Rachel fouled out late in the 4th quarter and Ashley followed her to the bench in the 1st OT. Brianna Renaas along with the 3 other girls left on the floor stepped up and almost won the game forcing the contest to a third OT playing shorthanded. Here are a few images from the exciting game.

Rachel and her fellow Lady Raiders (7th and 8th grade) made the trip to Toronto to play before the JV and varsity contests. The lighting in the Deubrook gym in Toronto was just plain weird causing a nightmare for me to set color balance on the raw files. The girls played 2 quarters for each grade against Deubrook.
