Softball Banners
We photograph many sports teams during the year. Right now it’s softball season. The Trojans wanted a banner for their team. Here is what we came up with. It’s 3 ft by 8 ft. Coach Jerry Seitz loved it.

We are making sports posters up for some of the local teams. Here is one of Makayla that is hanging up at Classic Cuts in Madison.
Lori and Mike
We should all aspire to be more like Lori and Mike Waldner. The are always there for their kids. This last Saturday, they were out working at the track meet at Trojan Field. I watched Lori cheer her son on as he approached the finish line in one of the heats of the boys 400 meter race.
Mike and Lori are in maybe the best shape of their lives. Lori quit aging 15 years ago and is training for a marathon. Mike is into triathlons and is training for a HIM this Fall.
They are always upbeat about life and willing to give you a helping hand or cheer you on to the finish line.

The MHS Bulldogs were crowned State A BB Champions on Saturday night in the Sioux Falls Arena.

Great game tonight at the Elmen Center. Madison fans filled one side and spilled over to the ends. Unless you arrived early, it was a long walk from the car.

More Madison vs Chester Boys Basketball
We are in the middle of a tidal wave of basketball. Here are a few more images from Chester vs. Madison in the Entringer Scholarship Classic.
This is intensity!
The Entringer Scholarship Classic is held at the Brookings High School every Christmas break. What a great way to spend New Year’s Eve! In the auxiliary gym, the ORR Raiders played while in the main gym, Chester and Madison faced off against each other. While the contract photographers shot from under the basket, I opted to hang out on the corner of the floor. As Mitchell White went up for this shot showing the same intensity as his brother had last year, he drew a foul from a Chester player.
Going through all of the images of last night for the paper, this is the best one I’ve found so far. Check back tomorrow to see more images.

Madison Gymnastics set a new national record of 14 state titles.

South Dakota Sports Photography: Madison Girls’ Basketball
We headed to Madison tonight for a Lady Bulldogs game in the Madison Middle School gym.
I met Madison Daily Leader sports editor Dan Hollsworth on the way into the gym. Dan and I’ve been friends for a very long time. I volunteered to cover the game for him. Dan has a full plate ahead of him on Friday with gymnastics. Madison is poised to set a national record if they can add yet one more state title to their collection of 13 in a row.
The Lady Bulldogs took on a very tough Dell Rapids team, but never gave up.
Breanne was one of our seniors from last summer.
We’ve known Marti forever. You can see her on the front cover on this year’s senior brochure.
