We love working with little kids: you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes you get models that love to be in front of the camera. Sometimes you get the shy ones who want to attached themselves to Mom’s leg and never let go. We also get our share of wild ones that barely sit still long enough to get a picture. We love them all. We are a kid friendly place. We have lots of toys and all the kids no where the snack bucket is.

Birthday Club: Elijah & Madysen
Elijah and Madysen both took advantage of the birthday club this month. If you join the birthday club you get a free session and 3×6 magnet. Here are a few of their pictures and the free magnets.
Baby Plan: Taya’s Changes from Newborn to 6 months
Taya is 6 months old already. Here are a few pictures to show how much Taya has changed in the last 6 months. Taya is part of our baby plan here at Black Studios so we have seen her change each month.
Children Photography: Orion & Brodie
Orion and Brodie came into the Studio for a suprise Christmas present for their mother. We had a blast taking their pictures and as you can see they were all smiles.
Adalyn at 3 Months
Adalyn is 3 months old already. Wow, does time fly and the little ones change so fast. Here is a picture of Adalyn when she was a newborn and then some of her 3 month pictures to show how much she has changed.
You have to have patience with babies. We take our time and let the kids get comfortable first and then we can take pictures.
You get to pick out your images right away, saving huge amounts of time and gas.
Now if we did not quite get what you wanted the first time, we can easily take a few more without having to schedule a new appointment. The longer the kids are here, the more they seem to like it. Our studio is big enough that they can run and play and still be in plain sight.
Paige Turns 5!
Paige is turning 5!
Paige is part of the birthday club here at Black Studios. We enjoy seeing her change from year to year.

Just hanging out at the studio
We like to think that we have a pretty kid friendly place. This afternoon we have Nathan, Claire and Jack enjoying a snack and watching a little Disney on the big screen while Mom picked out their pictures right after their session.

Keilah…It’s Easter
Happy Easter! It’s a day of hope and a day for family. Like most Sundays, we are closed. We’ll be back tomorrow morning.
We cut a telephone wire by accident in the basement while removing the old stove. We will have it spliced back together tomorrow morning. The phone still works in the studio but doesn’t ring in the house right now.
Keilah came to see us yesterday afternoon along with the rest of her extended family. ElizaBeth is fantastic at getting babies to smile.
We are lucky because we can do large family groups inside. Since our studio is an old church, there is plenty of room for everyone. We’ve done groups of up to 40 people inside. We have places for large groups outside as well.
Addison’s newborn session
Casey and Kari brought their new bundle of joy Addison to see us today.
Addison was alert most of the time she was here…except for a little while when she was in her daddy’s arms.
More Birthday Magnets
As part of our Birthday Club, we do a free session and you get a complimentary magnet.
Carter turned 4 about the same time as his cousin Brayden celebrated his first birthday.
Ainsley’s Baby Plan Panel
Here’s Ainsley’s one year Baby Plan panel. We know Mom and Dad want to see it.
Dillon’s magnet and bagtag
Dillon’s bag used to look just like everyone else’s. Now Mom can find her son’s bag right away thanks to a new custom bagtag.
Another cool magnet to show off…

Little John
Little John, one of our Baby Plan babies is no baby any more. He’s three years old now.
The whole family has been a little under the weather since sunday, but things are looking up. The coughs, sniffles, aches and pains are slowly going away. Everyone is back at school and the studio…Life is almost normal – whatever normal is this time of year.

Keri brought Peyton in for her 3 yr old birthday session.
Here’s her magnet – part of our Birthday Club.

Happy Birthday Ainsley!
Being one year old is so cool!
Baby Photography: Jake at one year old
You never know what you are going to get when you are working with babies. Sometimes the outtakes are fun to show off too. It’s nice to have that perfect smile, but along the way we can get lots of attitude like we got from Jake this afternoon.
Children’s Photography: Zoey
Baby Photography: Wyatt at 3 months
This is one of ElizaBeth’s favorite images.
Check out Mom’s ring in Wyatt’s hand.
Relationships make this job fun: Wyatt’s Mom was ElizaBeth’s Kinship child starting when she was 4 years old.
Baby Photography: Taylor
We’ve known Taylor’s parents a long time…way before they got married…so it’s fun to watch their family grow. Taylor came in for her 3 month pictures and we thought we would share a couple.
Baby Photography: Isabelle
Baby Photography: Dillon
Dillon hangs out at the studio a lot. Mom works for us one day a week.
While Mom does her thing, Dillon keeps a close eye on her. He’s almost to the point of being mobile…What are we going to do then?
Imajen
Imajen is celebrating her first birthday this week. She came down from Brookings with Mom and Grandma last Friday for her Birthday Club session.
Madysen turns 3
Sometimes Dad can feel like the safest place to be.
Madysen turned 3 years old on Saturday and even though we’ve been taking her pictures since she was born, it took a few minutes for her shyness to go away. While I love the images of her laughing at she played with ElizaBeth and our daughter Rachel, this picture of Madysen holding onto Dad brings a flood of emotions to me because our own kids have grown up much already.
