Here are images from a fun session we did with the Mathison girls.

Here’s a fun 10×20 composite from Jack’s 4 yr Birthday Club session.
We mount all of our prints 11×14 and bigger and apply a texture spray so you don’t need glass when you put them in a frame. We do offer framing too at Black Studios. All you need is to put a nail in the wall.

Take yourself back in time not that long ago when the ground was not white and the temperatures were not freezing. We photographed the Spier family on a beautiful Fall afternoon at their place in Madison.

Mom has been bringing Jack to the studio since he was just a baby. Just like Claire and Nathan, Jack loves to hang out, play with all of the toys and raid the snack bucket while he’s here. Turning four years old is a pretty big deal. We think that Mom will love the magnet when we drop it off tomorrow for her.

Coach Holmberg was successful in her first contest as the new ORR Girls Basketball coach. The Lady Raiders hosted the girls from Arlington at Oldham on Thursday night. Bree Olson was everywhere on the court.
Here are a few images that did not make the Madison Daily Leader on Friday. Do you know whose picture made the sports section? You’ll have to check the paper to find out for sure.
If you are interested in a sports poster for your student athlete as a Christmas present, we have a huge library of images from this last year including the Madison Bulldogs at the State A Basketball Tournament. Please call the studio at 586-4143 to set up an appointment. We can print the poster while you wait.

We love getting thank you’s in the mail. Amber and Isaac’s wedding was right before Thanksgiving on a very brisk November day at the Grace Lutheran Church in Nunda SD.

Check out Ashley’s favorites from her portrait session at Black Studios in a video slideshow.

Hanna has a plan for her life. She has the ambition and drive to make it work. Here are her favorites in a video slideshow.
Check out Marlee’s favorites from her senior portrait session at Black Studios.

Sam is one of those seniors that’s full of surprises: he has way more going on than you first expect. Here are a few of our favorites from his senior portrait session at Black Studios.

We love the “First Moments” pictures. It gives the bride and groom to share an emotional time together without the distraction of a church full of people. Amber and Isaac did have a small audience as she came down the aisle of the sanctuary at Grace Lutheran Church in Nunda last Saturday.
Here are a few images taken from their reception slideshow.

Our friend Cory posted a video on YouTube recorded during a tour of the Madison High School. Mrs. Knowlton has done a wonderful job of communicating the needs and shortcomings of the current facility. Please take the advantage of the opportunity to become a better informed voter by taking the tour and asking questions about one of the most important buildings in Madison.
Details about the project can be found at Madison High School Renovation.
To schedule a tour call the Madison High School at 256-7706.
ElizaBeth and I are proud to be MHS Alumni.
Here’s yesterday’s final image from Amber and Isaac’s wedding reception slideshow.

Whenever you see Ashley running around town, she always has a smile on. Here are a few of her favorites from her senior session.

A few of our favorites from Cody’s senior session…

Alex is always easy going. He never gets mad. He’s not full of himself. He’s unstoppable when he’s driving to the basket. Maybe he needs a little more attitude before basketball season starts…
Here are a few of our favorites of Alex.

I grew up on a farm with tractors that had no cabs. Very few farmers then had four-wheel drives tractors, but now it seems as if they are the norm. It’s almost time to put the big tractors away for the season. A few are still working ground getting ready for next Spring.
It’s contest time: who is running the tractor in the field just west of Rutland.

A fun picture from the MHS Fall Formal on Saturday night at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse that made today’s edition of the Madison Daily Leader.

Rachel and her friends have a full slate of games over the next few weeks. Here are a few images from last night’s game at Howard.

Another very cool Art Poster!
This one is for Ashley, one of our many seniors from Chester Area High School.
There is still time to get your senior pictures done at Black Studios. We have limited afternoon and evening appointments available. If you want to miss a little school, we can do sessions during the middle of the day.

Singers from Colman-Egan, Oldham-Ramona and Rutland spent the day preparing and rehearsing for a concert on Monday night in the Rutland gym.

Rachel, Dacey and I went up to Arlington to watch the Raiders try to win one more match and get a state tournament berth. That di not happen. The Arlington girls were a formidable volleyball machine. They made few mistakes. The Raider girls scored several points but did not enough of a run to threaten Arlington’s lead in any of the games.
It was sad to see the season end, but we can be proud of a District Championship.
Kelsey (Arlington’s #3) was one of our seniors this year. She came to us for her senior session in the summer and we photographed her again with the Arlington Cheerleaders. Good luck Kelsey to you and your teammates in Huron for the State VB Tournament in Huron.
Lots of pictures from tonight – more than usual….

Here’s Jordan and Lauren’s Signature Mat. Jordan was another one of our seniors from a few years back. The signature mat is our gift to couple that contract with Black Studios for their wedding photography.

Here’s a few images from Matt and Beth’s engagement session. It seems just like yesterday that we did Beth’s senior pictures. Time does fly by faster than we would like.
